Immigration through Ellis Island
Immigrazione in Ellis Island
Return to Musillami HistoryThere were essentially two groups of Musillami to come through Ellis Island to America. One group was from Piana Dei Greci and, for a time at least, went to New York. The other group appears to have last resided in Marsala - but been born, primarily, in Castelvetrano. This second group in the one that came to Chicago, and they are listed below. This information is based upon INS records, and appears to be accurate for the most part. There is some evidence, however, that this was not Salvatore's first arrival. He likely first arrived at some point prior to 1903. This is under further investigation.
